Joanne Wills​

Founder & Managing Partner

Meet Joanne: Founder and Managing Partner of CallingWorks.  Her passion for selling and building relationships has been instrumental to the growth of CallingWorks and the commitment her company enjoys from her team members and customers.

Joanne’s started her career as a therapist, working with incarcerated individuals .  In 1989, she decided a change was in order and began applying her effective communication and relationship building skills to sales.  She started as an Inside Sales Representative, working for Lotus Development Corporation.  Joanne was quickly promoted to Field Sales to be an Account Executive in the medical and financial industries.

After 18 years of working independently as a consultant to, and caller for, B2B clients in all industries, Joanne decided to expand by starting an Inside Sales company and hiring employees.  Of course, a suitable domain name was the first requirement. Founded in 2007, ‘CallingWorks’ says it all.  Her talents and passion for inside sales and relationship building have been instrumental to the growth of CallingWorks.

Fast forward to today,  Joanne continues to trailblaze – leading a growing team of committed, talented, and motivated sales people. As a seasoned inside sales leader, she loves working with all businesses – startups and established companies – where customer relationships, sales strategizing, and closing deals continue to be a great source of pride.

Joanne holds an M.Ed and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, which have proven to be a strong foundation for her solid selling skills and her ability to turn first-time customers into lifelong ones. Her time spent volunteering at a Hospice home and facilitating assault prevention sessions with elementary school children sharpened her listening and communication skills.

Denise Clancey

PARTNER & DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Looking to join the CallingWorks team?  Denise is the first voice you’ll hear.  Proudly representing the company by performing all the initial interviews – Denise provides a refreshing, natural and FUN voice of the company. Her intelligence, relatability and incredible sense of humor naturally puts you at ease – the perfect combination for an intro into the CallingWorks family. 

A keen eye for recognizing process and work flow improvements, Denise is incredibly skilled (and very much enjoys) the operational aspects of the company. Denise will oversee a project from start to completion – making sure no details are left out! 

Prior to joining CallingWorks in 2021, Denise worked as a consultant, setting up call centers for small and mid-sized businesses.  and providing  companies and nonprofits with practical advice, tools, and methodologies to establish or refresh their telephone organizations.   From 1987 to 2001, Denise was employed by Lotus Development, a subsidiary of IBM.  She held a number of Sales and Marketing positions at Lotus, the last was Vice President of North American Inside Sales & Customer Service.  

Denise is a member of the Board of Directors of NEW Health, a community health center affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital, where she serves as Chairperson of the Marketing and Nomination Committees. Denise has a Masters degree in Counseling and a CAGS degree in Student Personnel.

Kerry Johnson

Manager of Inside Sales & National Sales Program

A California girl at heart, Kerry Johnson brings her natural joy and laid-back approach to CallingWorks as a territory and National Sales Program manager. Kerry stays current on calling trends, serving as an IS Pro herself for the Minnesota region. Bringing vast experience in field and inside sales management in the tech and healthcare sector, Kerry thrives on B2B sales in the healthcare setting. Always sharing her enthusiasm for campaign roll-outs and new products and services, Kerry excels in her many roles here with her excellent communication style, enterprising spirit, and go-getter attitude.

Kerry enjoys walking her labradoodle along the New England coast and cheering her two kids on the hockey rink, soccer field and dance stage.

Nina Carozza

Inside Sales Manager

Residing in Steel City itself, a transplant from New York, Nina Carozza brings her extensive 25-year sales background to CallingWorks. Nina shines as a territory manager – and her team continues to blossom through her leadership; from expanding and managing regions, crafting and launching innovative sales campaigns to serving as a genuine resource for both callers and clients, Nina thrives on multi-tasking and thinking outside of the box. These attributes, along with her compassion and drive, brings continued success to all who work with her.

On the weekends you’ll find Nina spending time with her husband & two kids.

Cindy Tessman

Inside Sales Manager

Cindy is the senior most member of the CallingWorks family and was the company’s very first caller! Fifteen years later, Cindy’s dedication and commitment to the team and her clients are as strong as ever!

With an impressive 25 years of sales experience, including advertising sales in the media industry, Cindy uses her innate selling skills to identify opportunities, generate customer interest and build long-term relationships.

Leading by example, Cindy always knows the best way to effectively communicate product benefits, stays current on healthcare advances by continually learning and takes a consultative approach to selling.

“Every day I get to meet new people virtually and work with a solid team of professionals who support and root for each other. We are a team who loves to watch one another succeed.”

On the weekends, you’ll find Cindy spending time with family and traveling.

Melissa Abreu

Originating from the Garden State, Melissa specializes in account management – specifically around the continued education and relationship building of existing clientele. Melissa’s most recent victory included a record-breaking year for contract renewals and upgrades!

Upbeat and very personable, Melissa finds value in everything she sells, and is able to articulate that excitement, passion and knowledge with all of her clients.

Melissa brings over 15 years of business development experience from careers in hospitality and digital advertising – but it’s healthcare that Melissa is truly passionate for.

“I love all facets of the medical industry – it’s my niche in life.”

When she’s not making calls, Melissa enjoys crocheting, hiking, reading, spending time with family and friends and always appreciates a great tv show! An animal lover, having a degree in veterinary medicine, Melissa also participates in animal rescue.

Lesa Benjamin

Surrounded by the mountains in beautiful upstate South Carolina, Lesa brings expertise from many years of inside & outside sales, marketing and business development to CallingWorks. Also, a licensed esthetician, Lesa thrives on making personal connections. That, along with her impeccable follow up, establishing genuine relationships and paying close attention to all the many details lead to Lesa’s continued success.

Judith Bowden

Hailing from the great state of Massachusetts, Judith brings over 15 years of dedicated sales experience to CallingWorks. A seasoned sales contractor, Judith spent nearly two decades in the technology industry before advancing into the healthcare market.

Judith has an easy going and friendly approach to sales and genuinely believes in the products she’s selling – which is one of the many reasons why Judith connects so easily with her clients.

Libby Clark

Residing in Massachusetts, Libby brings high energy, humor and dogged pursuit of the end goal to the CallingWorks team. Spirited, energetic, and approachable, Libby won’t stop until the job gets done!

With a background in television production, events coordination, education and sales management, Libby’s role in operations has led her to visit the world – with travels to London, India and Africa.

An avid open water swimmer, Libby’s fun nature has had her making calls and attending meetings in her wet suit – fresh from a long swim! Libby credits swimming for keeping her sane, healthy, mindful & happy!

Lisa Keegan

Lisa is a senior member of the CallingWorks family where she specializes in direct and territory campaigns. With an extraordinary background in both inside and outside sales, Lisa earned numerous awards early on in her career. A natural innovator, Lisa piloted a remote position in the mid-1980’s – and continued working from home for the next forty years!

With an extensive background in the medical/technology arena, CallingWorks is fortunate to receive Lisa’s business development and lead generation experience in addition to her vast sales knowledge.

Lisa is a passionate, product specialist. “Every now and then, we are fortunate enough to be involved with a product that drives us, through our passion from within. That’s what I experience when selling CryoDose TA”.

A creative soul, Lisa greatly enjoys home remodeling, improvement & décor, repurposing furniture and artistic creations including pebble art, sewing, knitting & crocheting.

Lisa Grasso

Based in South Jersey, Lisa brings her strong, twenty-year career in business development to CallingWorks where her experience in prospecting, managing sales pipelines and appointment setting brings her and the team much success.

Lisa has a no pressure approach to sales. “I ask pertinent questions, ensure comfortability and go for the sale”. This easy-going style gives Lisa the ability to converse, educate and ask for the sale – which leads to her accomplishments time and time again.

In Lisa’s free time, she enjoys attending farmers markets, exploring happenings around town, hosting big family BBQ’s and in the summer months relaxing by the pool and spending a lazy day at the beach.

Tara Meyers

Born and bred in The Treasure State, Montana, on the banks of the Yellowstone River, Tara brings her enthusiasm and positivity to her many roles at CallingWorks.  As a Manager, Sales Administrator and Inside Sales Professional, Tara’s ‘can do anything attitude’ is evident by her many sales successes.

 Calling, appointments, insights – oh my! As an inside sales executive, Tara strategically plans the best touch points to reach decision makers and ultimately set qualified appointments while sharing key customer insights along the way.

 Tara can adapt and pivot on a dime to insure the best outcome. At CallingWorks, she is the go-to person to pilot something new whether it’s a new technology or getting camera ready for more virtual contact with potential clients.

 An entrepreneur at heart, Tara co-founded Cheers MT in 2019, an online wedding directory designed to connect brides to Montana venues & vendors. She served as director of social media, creative writer and lead blogger and sold Cheers MT in 2021 to a fellow Montana based company!

 Credit cards can be a bore – but not on Tara’s watch. Spanning a decade in banking, specifically in the Corporate Card Sales space, her main focus included the education and sales of plastics over paper – engaging with their sales team & business clients to grow revenue for the bank with commercial payment solutions.

 Tara has many interests and keeps busy as mother of daughters, party planning, Disneyland enthusiast, & self-professed coffee addict. She is a board game maven (her favorites are Catan & Ticket to Ride) and when she is losing her Leo sign comes out! A Potterhead through and through– and she continues to wait patiently for her Hogwarts acceptance letter.

Alyson Rhodes

Alyson is Pennsylvania born and currently resides in New Jersey (fun fact – she is neighbors with our own Christine Ryberg)! Spending over two decades in sales and customer service, Alyson is also an experienced actress – having acted in New York City and Boston for more than ten years.

As an east coast girl, Alyson plans her days according to time zones – beginning in the east and ending in the west. Extremely organized and proactive, Alyson plans her calls out for the month – ensuring adequate time for conversations, emails, and plenty of follow-up!

“I always plan for tomorrow by my end of day. I carve out time, plan, and set goals – that leads to success for my team, my clients, and myself.”

In her free time, Alyson enjoys cooking, going on hikes with her family, and traveling.

Christine Ryberg

Residing in New Jersey, Christine excels in her role as an inside sales executive – where reaching key decision-makers, educating prospects on products, and arranging for meetings come naturally to her. With a natural ease on the phone and a background in inside and outside sales, conference management, and a career as a clinical dietician, Christine’s experience in the acute setting enables her to empathetically connect with the right person at the right time.

Cathy Truman

Residing in beautiful South Carolina, Cathy shares 30+ years of inside sales and lead generation with CallingWorks, bringing rich experiences in management and CRM systems knowledge. Previously in the communication, lighting and healthcare industries, Cathy oversaw and trained new departments – implementing processes and increasing efficiencies along the way.

Extremely skilled at the art of conversation (you can thank her drama and communications degrees for that!) Cathy excels at reaching key decision makers and making a natural connection.

Monica Zingariello

INSIDE SALES PRO

Monica is a senior member of the inside sales team and has also served as an integral part of the technology integration team and as a team lead for sales campaigns.

Monica has a natural ease to her where everyone she meets instantly feels comfortable and welcomed. Taking an old-school approach to sales, Monica’s goal with every call is providing a bit of personalization – including using the clients name in conversation (and knowing how to spell it)!
